Indesign, LLC was recently named as one of the 2017 Best Places to Work in Indiana. This is the 8th consecutive year for Indesign to be selected for this award. Indesign was one of a small number of companies recognized for Hall of Fame status among the award winners, based on the number of years that Indesign has received this award. The awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best employers in the state of Indiana. The top companies in the state were determined through employer reports and comprehensive employee surveys. The Best Companies Group, which handled the selection process, oversees similar programs in 23 other states. Indesign’s Executive VP, Kathy Rima, commented “We are thrilled to once again be selected as one of the Best Places to Work in Indiana and are especially honored to receive the Hall of Fame designation. Indesign, LLC, an Indianapolis-based engineering design firm, celebrated its 20th year in business this month. The company was originally established in February 1997 by a group of former AT&T/Bell Labs engineers. Since its start in 1997, Indesign has grown to 72 employees, including hardware engineers, software engineers, mechanical engineers, and test engineers. Indesign, LLC, an Indianapolis based engineering design firm, will exhibit at the 2017 International Consumer Electronics Show – January 5 - 8, 2017. This is Indesign's 20th year to exhibit at the International CES. The 2017 International CES® is the world's largest consumer technology tradeshow, featuring 4,216 exhibitors unveiling the latest consumer technologies across the entire ecosystem of consumer technologies. Exhibitors included manufacturers, developers and suppliers of consumer technologies. 2016 CES had over 170,000 attendees from more than 153 countries. On April 21, 2016, a Milwaukee startup company - ONKÖL - took top honors at the 2016 Edison Awards. ONKÖL won the 2016 Edison Gold Award™ in Health and Wellness - Safety & Health Monitoring. The company received the award for its innovative ONKÖL hub. The award was given at the black-tie Edison Awards Gala held at the historic Capitale ballroom in New York City. Indesign, LLC, an Indianapolis engineering design company, developed the electrical hardware and the embedded software for the ONKÖL hub. The ONKÖL hub allows family members to stay connected with elderly loved ones by remotely monitoring activity from the loved ones’ health care devices. The ONKÖL hub receives information from a variety of wireless and wired health care devices (including blood glucose meters, pulse oximeters, blood pressure meters, emergency alert pendants, and smoke detectors), and the hub provides this information to the family members via a cellular communication link. For the sixth consecutive year, Indesign, LLC has been selected as one of Central Indiana's Top Workplaces based on a survey conducted for the Indianapolis Star newspaper. Indesign was ranked in the small companies’ category for the award. The Top Workplaces rankings are determined based on employee feedback. The Indianapolis Star partnered with Philadelphia-based WorkplaceDynamics, an independent employee survey firm, to determine the region's Top Workplaces. Indesign, LLC, a nationally recognized engineering design firm specializing in electronic product development, has expanded its design capability for embedded system products requiring Internet of Things (IoT) capabilities. Indesign engineers have recently completed many different product developments incorporating technologies supporting IoT.
