Indesign has been a member of Indiana’s IoT (Internet of Things) Lab in Fishers, IN for one year. The IoT lab is a 24,000 square foot workspace dedicated to supporting collaboration and innovation for the Internet of Things. As a member, Indesign has a dedicated workspace that provides an additional location for the Indesign product development team to work alongside other Indiana IoT member companies.
The Early Years
In its first year, the IoT lab has hosted 50 IoT focused events – drawing more than 3,500 people to the space. It has attracted 17 tenant companies and institutions, and many members who spend time at the lab. Indesign has partnered with other members on several projects in the last year and we are looking forward to more collaboration in the years to come.
What is IoT?
The Internet of Things (IoT) makes things smarter. It is a network of physical devices, vehicles, home appliances, and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, and actuators. It is the connectivity which enables these things to interface, collect and exchange data. The Internet of Things uses that data to make the ‘thing’ more efficient or beneficial for our lives.
