It may be true the only constant in life is change, but I think there’s one more constant we can add to the list. A picnic on a sunny summer day is always a good thing! The Indesign, LLC team did just that on a warm August day with blue skies and a slight breeze. We rented a pavilion at Fort Harrison State Park, ordered Chick-Fil-A, served ice cream, laid out several yard games (and decks of cards for those who prefer shade), and had a picnic.

A Strong Company Culture

The truth is picnics, cookouts, and time together as a team is not new to Indesign. From its beginnings over 25 years ago, a team culture has been at the very core of who Indesign is, and in its mission to keep the team well and strong, time together has always been a priority.

Team Connection Through A Pandemic

Like so many, the strategy to keep our team connected, engaged, and supported over the past couple of years has required flexibility and out-of-the-box thinking. For much of 2020 and some of 2021, our time of connection was primarily in virtual form. There were virtual coffee dates, luau packages sent out for anniversary celebrations, online trivia during the holidays, virtual bingo for prizes, etc. We also formed interest channels for people to join to help create some of the “water cooler” conversations that weren’t quite as frequent in a hybrid work setting.

Back to the Basics

In every season, in every phase of the 25 years, team building, and connection have looked a little different at Indesign. It has always remained equally important, however, and this summer it was a treat to get right back to the basics. Fun, sun, ice cream, and some good-hearted competition in our annual cornhole tournament.

The Right Team for Your Needs

Indesign is committed to providing engineering excellence to its clients, and we believe we can do that best when our team is cared for. For this summer, our wellness tool was a picnic in the sun. We support product development in a wide variety of different market segments. If you’re interested in working with our team, contact us today at (317) 377-5450!
