Indesign Ranks #4 in the Best Places to Work in Indiana 2013

Indesign, LLC was recently named as one of the 2013 Best Places to Work in Indiana – Ranking #4 in the Small Company category. The awards program was created in 2006 and is a project of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, BizVoice®, Inside INdiana Business, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) - IN State Council, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation and Best Companies Group. This statewide survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Indiana, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses. The 2013 Best Places to Work in Indiana list of 100 companies is made up of the following size categories: 33 Small-sized companies (15-74 US employees) 28 Medium-sized companies (75-249 US employees) 17 Large-sized companies (250-999 US employees) 22 Major-sized companies (1,000+ US employees) To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements: - Have at least 15 employees working in Indiana; - Be a for-profit or not-for-profit business or government entity; - Be a publicly or privately held business; - Have a facility in the state of Indiana; and - Must be in business a minimum of 1 year. Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Indiana. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Indiana and also analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final rankings. Indesign, LLC was recognized and honored at the 2013 Best Places to Work in Indiana Awards Dinner coordinated by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, May 2nd. The final rankings were announced at the event.

Indesign, LLC Receives Top Workplaces Award

Indesign, LLC has been selected as one of Central Indiana's Top Workplaces based on a survey sponsored by The Indianapolis Star newspaper. This is the third successive year that Indesign has been selected for this award. Indesign ranked 4th overall among the small companies that participated in the Top Workplaces survey. Survey results from Central Indiana's workforce also determined the top five employers with the highest level of overall employee engagement among all companies (small, medium, and large) participating in the survey. Indesign ranked in the top five in each of the three categories of connection, direction, and execution. An article in the Indianapolis Star on April 14th noted that "At Indesign, engineering design firms on the city's northeast side, workers have a strong sense of connection, not only with the company but also with its clients. Workers will tell you that they are not just in the business of creating new products; they are also helping dreams come true for others." The Top Workplaces are determined based on employee feedback. The employee survey is conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, LLP, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement. Indesign, LLC Announces Certified LabVIEW Developer Capability

Indesign, LLC, a nationally recognized engineering design firm specializing in electronic product development, has announced Certified LabVIEW Developer capability. Indesign's engineering staff now includes a National Instruments' Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD), in addition to a Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer (CLAD). The CLD certification indicates that an engineer has shown the ability to design and develop functional LabVIEW programs while minimizing development time and ensuring maintainability. The CLAD certification indicates a broad working knowledge of the LabVIEW environment, a basic understanding of coding and documentation best practices, and the ability to understand and interpret existing code. The CLD and CLAD certifications equip the Indesign engineering staff with the knowledge and tools to design and develop various manufacturing test solutions and design verification test tools utilizing National Instruments' LabVIEW software and various test and measurement hardware. LabVIEW allows test fixtures to interact with both virtual and physical equipment including instrumentation, robotics, lab equipment, and data acquisition devices. Indesign is a member of the National Instruments' Alliance Partner Network.
