Indianapolis-based engineering firm, Indesign, LLC, was named as one of the 2010 Best Places to Work in Indiana at an awards ceremony coordinated by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and Best Companies Group. Indesign was ranked #2 in the small to medium sized company category. This statewide awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Indiana, benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce and businesses. Companies with strong workplace practices – rooted in respect, teamwork and good communication – were recognized with this program. The awards program was created in 2006 and is a project of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, BizVoice, Inside INdiana Business, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation and Best Companies Group. Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Indiana. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. Results from the two part process determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Indiana and also analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final rankings. The 2010 Best Places to Work in Indiana list is made up of 28 companies in the small/medium-sized list (25-249 employees in the United States) and 42 companies in the large-sized list (250+ employees in the United States).
